Thankfully the technical difficulties have been short-lived and I am back in podcasting business!
I must say that the silver lining to this whole thing is that I think the *technical quality* of my podcasts is going to be noticeably improved. I am now capable of recording in stereo--which I think makes a big difference even though it's just a sermon.
On the technical side...
If you're a techno-nerd like I am, you may want to know more about the product I'm now using. I decided to move away from Olympus and am now using a Philips Digital Voice Tracer 0860. In addition to being able to record in SHQ stereo, it also saves as an mp3 (thus eliminating a step from my prior process--converting .wav to mp3), AND is recognized by both Mac OS and Windows operating systems as a simple USB drive...making uploads to my system a SNAP!
I am constantly amazed at the development of technology when it comes to these things. I first bought into the DVR world while I was in seminary. Granted, I did not spend a lot of money, but the item I purchased then sounded as though a dishwasher were constantly running in the background. Thank God that's no longer the case.
So, if you care, you may want to do a point-counterpoint comparison between the quality of my podcast from this last Sunday (Jul 19th) using the Philips, and any of the previous podcasts using the Olympus. I'm sure you'll agree that the Philips is a noticeable improvement.
Silver linings are nice.

I appreciate very much the words of the Augsburg Confession: "...nothing has been received among us, in doctrine or in ceremonies, that is contrary to Scripture or to the church catholic." Evangelical-catholic is a term of self-designation used by Christians coming from a broad spectrum of theological perspectives and commitments, ranging from Lutherans, Anglicans, and various Evangelicals yearning for greater catholicity .....to faithful Roman Catholics longing for an evangelical renewal of the Church. Perhaps beneath the apparent denominational differences there lies a common...groaning of the Spirit of God, who is seeking to draw the members of Christ’s mystical body into a communal life that is both fully catholic and fully evangelical. One can always hope and pray!

I found a secret. I probably shouldn't need it, but sometimes the shift key or cntl key do wonders and are easy to try. Shift+click on the Add To iTunes link works. Yay :)

I see we are dropping off the page! One note which I may put up in September's comment so there is a chance you read it. In July when you made this fix you lost sound. What I mean is that July 5th sermon and before was loud enough that I could adjust my sound to my liking - like for fixing dinner. After that - July 19th and on the sound is diminished where I need to have my ear within 6" to 12" of the computer speaker to hear it. It sometimes gets dim enough where I need to get closer. Just click on each and you will hear the difference. Sure would like to hear it better. Thank you so much.

Thanks a LOT for your feedback on this. Usually when I post & test the sermons, it's on my laptop with 2 tiny built-in speakers. The volume is loud enough on *my* system, but you bring up an interesting point.
The cut-off date you mention is the switchover from my old dead Olympus DVR to the new stereo Philips model. I use Audacity for file editing. In the process I "normalize" the audio which boosts the volume somewhat. I'll try using Audacity to boost the volume even more. In the meantime, please check your system & see if it's just a matter of finding a volume adjustment. Some soft adjustments are default set at half-volume or less.
